I found this article very interesting. It shows the impact the recently lifted curfew had and continues to have on the parang season competitions, as organised and overseen by the National Parang Association of Trinidad and Tobago (NPATT). Is the Government and businesses really supporting this seasonal genre of music? Will traditional parang survive if NPATT is not funded?
